8:30 AM - A closely-watched government measure of inflation showed price increases cooled further last month, according to the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics released Wednesday morning.
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) revealed headline inflation rose 0.1% over last month and 5.0% over the prior year in March, a slowdown from February's 0.4% month-over-month increase and 6% annual gain.
The market is bracing for tomorrow's CPI and Core CPI which will be reported at 8:30 AM. The market is expecting inflation to fall sharply from 6% to 5.2% and the core rate to increase from 5.5% to 5.6%. Our expectation is Volatility.
