FICO credit scores range from 300-850, and the ranges lenders use to judge scores goes roughly as follows:

  • Exceptional: 800-850

    • 21% of Americans

  • Very Good: 740-799

    • 25% of Americans

  • Good: 670-739

    • 21% of Americans

  • Fair: 580-669

    • 17% of Americans

  • Poor: 300-579

    • 16% of Americans
